The Rock Ice & Mountain Club serves the climbing and outdoor community of the North San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, offering a chance to meet like minded people and get inspired by attending monthly shows featuring top notch presentations. Its free monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month have featured lecture and multimedia presentations by members and world class climbers including: Steve Schneider, The Benegas Brothers, Tom Cole, R.D. Coran, Jerry Dodrill, Armin Fisher, Hans Florine, Jacqueline Florine, Tom Shore, John Hart, Josh Helling, Bob Hoffman, Kevin Jorgeson, Robert Link, Doug Robinson, Tom McMillan, Chris McNamara, Royal Robbins, Ron Kauk, Glen Denny, Corey Rich, Chris Jones and special events with Conrad Anker, Galen Rowell and Andy Selters.
Shows have included accounts of climbing in Nepal, Tibet, Russia, the Sierra Nevada, Europe and Bhutan. The club has organized trips in Sonoma County, the Sierras, the Cascades, as well as other climbing areas including Red Rocks, Joshua Tree, and Smith Rock.
There are Club meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30pm at the Occidental Rd. Round Table Pizza in Santa Rosa. At each meeting there is a raffle, a multimedia presentation, and an opportunity to mix with other climbers from the area.
